Meet Adewale Ademuyiwa

Hi, my name is Adewale Ademuyiwa 

Here's a brief background into why I created StressTherapist.net. 

I grew up feeling like I was living in a world where no one understood me. 

I had multiple disappointments from people who pretended to be friends who then took advantage of my generous nature. 

If you're an Empath, I am sure you've been here to.

However, the more difficult thing was what seemed to be an invincible force that kept choking everything I was trying to achieve in life. 

Some people reading this might think... 

"yeah right what's the big deal. That happens to everybody." 

But, if you've ever gotten stuck with internal struggles that generate bucket loads of negative thoughts and emotions, you’ll know how debilitating the smallest things can become. 

Strangely, I felt blamed even though no one was blaming me, at least not directly.

Fortunately, I later went into the mental-health field and gained insights into the nature of my own emotional struggles and was able to learn how to deal with them. 

But, one of the strongest experiences that solidified what I do now, was a realization that the health system, which I was working in at the time failed woefully in its services to people who struggled emotionally. 

Back in those days, it was a common experience for me to hear professionals blaming patients for remaining in their emotional problems and failing to get better. 

Some professionals actually said, and I quote... 

"Some people will just have to be depressed or anxious forever. It's just who they are." 

This felt massively unfair to me. 

I could relate to feeling blamed for things I struggled with myself. 

I mean, Isn't it only natural that people will become imprisoned in a complex web of emotions if nobody takes the time to explain how to survive the muddled clay of life's stresses and devastating problems? 

Well, if you get to know me, you'll find out that I can be stubborn. 

So when someone tells me something can't be done, especially if I know that the outcome of doing that thing will benefit many people, that's exactly what I will keep trying my best to do. 

As a result, I was driven to keep working at finding solutions to these complex emotional problems. 

But then, I needed a way to share my findings with people who I knew needed this. 

And that’s why StressTherapist.net was created as a place where people can come to learn evidence based strategies for copping better with difficult situations they find themselves in. 

Especially those situations they can’t do anything about but have to live with. 

Now, this is what drives me everyday. It is the passion behind everything I do. 

I can’t help but think, “maybe this one new article, or maybe this one new insight might be the thing to help somebody somewhere experience their breakthrough.

Qualifications gained: Bsc Hons Community Specialist Practice, Post Grad Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dip He Mental Health Nursing, Diploma in Mentoring in Public practice, Accredited by the British Association For Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapist,

This just means that Adewale is trained to assess, develop and teach programs that meet the emotional health needs of people within the community.
